JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine

As an asynchronous event-driven JavaScript runtime, Node.js is designed to build scalable network applications. In the following "hello world" example, many connections can be handled concurrently. Upon each connection, the callback is fired, but if there is no work to be done, Node.js will sleep.

The Serverless Server Side Rendering uses Google Cloud Functions (GCF). They run in Node 10, so this project specifies node 10 as the required runtime and you may need to use nvm to manage that. Within this Isomorphically beautiful world, we can (hopefully) use ES6 in both node and react, easily sharing code between the two
